Timber Framing for Historic Buildings: A Hands-On Workshop

provide additional skills training for experienced contractors seeking
expertise in techniques appropriate to historic structures.  Subjects
will include analysis and remedies for structural repairs to timber
framed structures, the use of appropriate hand tools, an introduction to
historic joinery, and a discussion of safe work practices.  Students
will receive a combination of shop instruction and fieldwork on a ca.

Our visiting instructor this year is Rudy Christian. Mr. Christian is
the Executive Director of the nationwide non-profit Preservation Trades
Network, and brings over 25 years of experience in timber framing to
share.
